We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the compliance requirements set forth by the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) serves as a comprehensive online self-assessment tool that replaces the former Information Governance Toolkit, due to us having both Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001 standards in place our submission is now exceeding the standards of the toolkit.
The DSPT is designed to enable organisations to measure and publish their performance against the ten data security standards established by the National Data Guardian. These standards are crucial for maintaining the highest data security and privacy levels within the healthcare industry.
By completing this self-assessment, we have demonstrated our commitment to adhering to these standards. The DSPT requires all organisations delivering services to the NHS to use this toolkit to ensure that they are practising good data security, and that personal information is handled appropriately. This process involves thoroughly evaluating our data protection policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with the established standards.
